Broccoli Salad


1 broccoli head, washed and cut into small pieces

½ cup mayonnaise

1 tablespoon white sugar

2 tablespoon distilled white vinegar

1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

1/2 cup cashews, chopped

¼ cup dried cranberries

¼ cup bacon, cooked and crumbled (or bacon bits)


Whisk together mayonnaise, sugar, vinegar, and salt until well incorporated.

In a large bowl mix together broccoli, cashews, cranberries, and bacon.

Add the mayonnaise dressing and mix.

Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.


- To make this recipe healthier you can substitute de mayonnaise for Greek yogurt or one-part mayonnaise with one-part sour cream.

- You can use any other dark dry fruit of preference.

- Peanuts or any other nut works great with this recipe as well.
